Empty or Peace?

I want to tell you that today has been a day full of confusion. You know that feeling when so many things are going on in your head that there comes a moment where you can’t think anymore—like your mind just goes blank.

But what if I told you that your mind isn’t empty? That it’s simply receiving peace—the peace we all need so badly.

After so many emotions, after so much sadness, after so many words repeated over and over in your mind, there comes a moment where you just can’t think. And I’ll confess something to you: a few seconds before writing this, I thought I was experiencing depression. I didn’t want to go outside, not even leave my room—I even had a headache for a few minutes.

I sat at the computer and wrote and erased, wrote and erased—topics I won’t even talk about because I simply had nothing to say. Then, I saw the sun suddenly shining, and I decided to go outside. I needed to find magic—anywhere. And let me tell you, when you search, you find. Even if it’s not what you expected.

And I found it—I found magic within myself, in that feeling of an empty mind that, one way or another, I understood, I was able to comprehend… and it has a name.

Peace!

Yes—peace. Just by writing it, my skin got goosebumps. Just by saying it, a huge smile formed on my face. Because about two years ago, the only thing I asked the universe and God—again and again—was for peace.

“All I ask for is peace—is that so hard?”

Those were the exact words I spoke. And it brings me so much happiness to tell you today that no—it’s not that hard. That it was always within me. That it was up to me to choose whether I would have it or not. It was up to me to see that emptiness, that silence, either as depression and storm… or simply as peace.

And what I couldn’t do two years ago, I did today—in just one minute. And it has nothing to do with life itself—it has everything to do with focus.

At this point, if you’ve been here with me for a while, you already know how much I love to emphasize focus. Because it is so powerful—so, so powerful.

Let me tell you what went through my mind while I took this photo. If you look closely, I’m in the car, and the car’s side mirror has that message: “Objects in mirror may be closer than they appear.” When I took this picture, I didn’t even notice the message—just the beautiful light bursting out so powerfully from the clouds.

The colors, the light, its essence captivated me. So, I took the photo. And I said: “It’s so beautiful to see this, even if it’s so far away from me—I can still see it.”

Later, I sat down to look through the photos to choose which ones I would use for my blog and articles, and that’s when I noticed what the mirror said. I promise you, when I saw it—I realized that’s exactly how life is.

The tools we have—it’s up to us whether we use them in our favor or just leave them there to gather dust.

So what am I saying with all this?

That life is like that mirror. We think we are so far from what we want… but the truth is, we’re not. You know why? Because just like I was able to see that beautiful scene in the sky and thought it was far—it really wasn’t. You know why? Because I could see it with my own eyes.

When something is truly far from our reach, we can’t see it. But when we can see it—even if it’s thousands and thousands of miles away—that means it’s closer than we can imagine.

And that should bring you peace. So much peace.

Because remember: silence, or the feeling of emptiness, is the feeling of peace and certainty. Certainty that that emptiness is not truly empty—it’s filled with peace and certainty that soon it will be filled even more. And it will become one of the most glorious moments of your life.

And the truth is—just by experiencing this photo with my hands and now passing it on to you—even though you weren’t with me when I took it, you’re still seeing what I saw.

So how majestic is it to realize that even if you weren’t there, you saw it and were able to experience something that few others did?

This confirms that your dreams and goals are closer than you think.

Today, I spoke to you from sight—tomorrow, we shall see.

What I do know is—don’t give up. Now listen to me: if you haven’t yet been able to see that dream up close—then see it from afar. Yes, because that will bring it closer than you believe.

And when your mind finds itself silent or empty, remember—you have two options for how to see that moment:

See it with sadness for what “can’t be”…

Or see it as peace, because faith has already created your destiny.

I love you.
