Empty and Full Mind at the Same Time
Do you know that feeling when you’re thinking about something, but at the same time, you feel like you’re not thinking about anything at all? That’s exactly how I felt today while wondering what I would write in my blog. My boyfriend asked, “What will you write today?” And my answer was, “I don’t know.” I feel like my head is completely empty—and at the same time, completely full.
And his response to that was: “Why don’t you write about that?”
Honestly… it was an extraordinary idea.
I’ve always been someone who has something to think about, to analyze, to understand. And this whole month has been incredibly beautiful—with its uncomfortable moments, of course—but still, overall, beautiful. I’ve been manifesting so many things almost instantly, and it’s simply magical. And the new thing I’m experiencing is that I no longer pay attention to anything that doesn’t fill me up or serve me. Anything that causes me anxiety or makes me worry about things that, honestly, I can’t do anything about in this exact moment—I'm done giving energy to that.
Today, I want to share something beautiful. I received an email from a literary agent who was impressed by one of my projects. She said my book has potential, but that I need to restructure it. This book was my very first book submission, and I almost lost sight of the path I’m on. This email moved me so much that, for a moment, I considered sitting down and dedicating time to a book that I’ve already submitted to almost 100 agents. Through that process, I realized it needed many changes and much better organization. And right after that realization, overnight, a brand new book was born. A book that is exactly what many agents are hoping for.
But then I said, no. Why would I stop writing the book I’m currently working on, if this one feels much more connected to my soul as a writer? I’m not saying the other book isn’t good—it absolutely is. It could easily become a TV series. But I’d rather save that for the future. That book needs deep editing. And since then, I’ve learned so much about storytelling, and more importantly, I’ve discovered what defines my voice.
That first book was the portal that reconnected me to what I love most—writing. Creating magical worlds. But with this new book I’m working on now, it truly feels like I’ve stepped into a new planet where I am each character. I feel everything they feel. I swear to you—I feel it.
If the characters are in love or confused, I’m discovering the book at the same time I’m discovering their emotions. It’s just beautiful. It’s magical.
And like I’ve said before, we can’t go back to the past—and honestly, I don’t want to.
So, yes—my mind is now completely empty of the things that once held me back. The things I used to allow to make me feel worthless or not enough… they’re gone.
There’s no perfectionism in my mind anymore. No thoughts of “I should be able to do it all.” No.
Now, I simply keep filling my mind with everything I love. Everything that makes me stronger, braver, more magical, and happier—so much happier.
Knowing that I no longer give time to anything that doesn’t contribute to my joy has led me to feel so happy with where I am, with what I have, with who I am, and how I am. It feels beautiful to finally be able to rest—emotionally. And most of all, to let the mind rest.
So if you’re wondering how to get there, I’ll tell you: focus is everything.
I know it sounds simple—easier said than done—but when you focus on what you have, instead of what you don’t, it helps. When things don’t go your way, it’s okay. Don’t obsess over forcing them to happen a certain way. Don’t give up on your dreams, but also, don’t obsess over one single way of achieving them. Because there are many ways to reach them. The problem is that sometimes your focus is only on one path.
So change your focus.
Look at what you have—look at your clothes. You have internet to read this. You have food, even if it’s not the exact food you want right now. One thing I’ve learned about gratitude is that it’s true: the more grateful you are, the more you receive. We become magnets for what we experience and see.
And how do you cultivate gratitude? Do what you love, even if it’s not for money. Especially when it’s not. Because when you learn to value your passion for the pure love of it, that’s when everything else begins to grow. Money isn’t the value of your passion—it’s just an extra that might come along.
But when you do it just for love—
Let me tell you something… I’m not lying—
Something lights up inside you.
Something that begins to make you feel alive. Something that allows you to see what you actually have and helps you become grateful for every little thing—for every second.
You learn to love yourself and value yourself.
It’s as if your whole world changes.
Today I spoke to you from my mind.
Tomorrow? I have no idea.
But what I do know is this:
The key to happiness is your passion.
Express it in any way you can.
And if you still don’t know what it is,
Here’s a little (big) secret:
You’ve been doing it since you were a child.
You loved doing it.
You lost track of time when you did it.
So be brave.
Just be brave.
Because believe me—
Having your mind completely empty…
and completely full…
is beautiful.
Empty of what once stole your smile,
and full of what will make you smile for life.
I love you.
